Poca High School Goes PINK!

This week I am on a pink craze, so I thought I would spotlight a school who is on the same kick!

Poca High School, in Poca, West Virginia, set the tone for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by covering the school and its athletes with… what’s my favorite word this month? PINK, PINK, and more PINK!

We couldn’t be more excited to see a school take the time to care about such an important cause!

The cheerleaders covered themselves with pink poms, polka dotted socks, hair-bows, AND a special cheer uniform to represent the PINK! To take it a step further, the cheerleaders bought the football team pink mouth pieces, pink polka dot socks, AND pink wristbands!

But the pink didn’t stop there…

The band, flag corp, soccer team, volleyball team, golf team AND all coaches donned this rockin’, cause-raisin’, supportin’ color too!

They went a step further and pink’ed up with Susan G Komen Foundation and handed out flyers and literature about breast cancer during football games and school.

The Foundation also gave them pink beads, bracelets, ribbon stickers, poms (#brilliant), AND survivor t-shirts and hats… oh my!

And my favorite part… They raised $1130 for Susan G Komen by selling PINK OUT t-shirts!!! #winning

Could this school get any more awesome?

Ok, Ok, I’ll show you examples of where their school meets cheerleaders, meets footballers, meets PINK!
